26 Week pics and a great giveaway!

I finally got Keith to take some belly pictures for my yesterday, so you can see how ginormous I'm getting!  Just kidding, although there are probably many mommies who looked like me at 9 months instead of 6!

Things are going really well this pregnancy, except for my hips, which are sooo sore when I get up in the morning.  I can hardly walk!  During the day it gets better, but yikes, how am I going to survive three more months of this!

Today I was over at Andrea's blog, and spotted this awesome giveaway from  They are giving away an iPod Nano!  With a box of chocolates of course, since it IS for mother's day!  Go check it out!

Too cute! And that whole hips thing is common for 2nd time moms, at least that's what I've heard. I felt like a waddling penguin for the last trimester, so just a warning. :)

The thing I tried to alleviate some of the hip soreness was to put a pillow in between my knees while resting/sleeping. That helped a lot! Although by the morning my pillow was on the floor!

I sure hope that the soreness won't get worse!

Look at how you're glowing!!! I think you're pretty 'dash' cute!
Yep...I remember the sore'd think with my hips that wouldn't have been a problem :)

Try taking Vitamin B12. My hips get sore from sleeping and it goes away during the day, but when I take B12 it goes away (it could take a week or 2 - when I wait too long I end up taking 2 a day for a little while)

Beautiful pictures. You're not huge at all. In fact you look like you are in really great shape. Wow 6 months. My hips hurt as well in my last trimester with got to the point where it actually felt like my bones were shifting lol. Hang in there. I wish I had taken more pictures of me when I was pregnant with Jacob. Maybe next time around.

Yeah, the second pregnancy brought much more pain.

My midwife said is gets worse each time...good thing I want to be done!

You look cute, not oversized! The second one also brings a bigger belly! I actually was bigger but didn't gain as much weight withthe second...but kept a lot also=(

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Stacey,
I meant to reply to the comment you left on our blog a long time ago but kept forgetting! That's neat that our due dates are so close together! You look great. I think our bellies are around the same size. Have you been finding that your baby's movements are getting more defined and stronger now? In the last week or two I've been able to SEE my belly move and when I put my hand on it the movements feel much more like there's a baby moving around in there rather than getting just little pokes.

Talk to you again,

ps. I love the fetal development pictures on the top of your blog!!

Ha! This is how I look after two kids and non pregnant! So enjoy and keep your fingers crossed that your tummy will get in shape right after the baby! You look just fine!

Really, for a second baby you look right on track! Show off that belly girl! These are your months to let it all hang out and love it! Don't you dare suck your gutt in, there's plenty of time for that later. Ah, the sore hips. Some days I could hardly walk by noon. When I rested I tried to lie on my side with pillows instead of sitting down whenever possible. Sitting is just more pressure on your pelvis and hips. Making room for baby!
