Cankles already... ugh

So with just over 6 weeks to go, I'm officially in the cankles club! But the really weird thing is it's only really on one leg/foot. Does that make sense? Seriously, the picture just doesn't do my foot justice! It looks almost twice as fat as it should be, and I can FEEL the water in it! And my skin feels like it won't stretch much further either.

I'm really not sure how I'm going to get out of the house like this for the next 6 weeks! My shoes do not fit.

But while I'm complaining about my cankles, could you pray for my friend Drea? (I'm right there with you praying, by the way) She's in preterm labor, and is staying at the hospital overnight where they will try to stop things from progressing. She's just over 30 weeks, and that baby is not ready to make his appearance!

sorry I"m a little out of it, I get the ankle part of cankles but why do you call them cankles??
soo weird that you have it on only one foot.
I don't get too swollen, although I am a little now, I'm really really itchy though, and not just my belly, my arms my back.... argh...

Rosey... Cankles is just a term for ankles that are not defined... like fat ankles :)

Cankles - when your calf joins your ankle. ;)

My midwife told me to drink a glass of water with the juice from half a lemon every morning before I got out of bed. It worked like a charm.

And so the discomfort really begins! Last week my fingers hurt and were swollen every single morning. I don't know what happened but this week they're fine. So weird. Hope you find something that works to relieve the discomfort of that ankle!

Oh the memories! My feet, hands and face were bad with Jillian. I wore shoes till, the car, took them off, till the house and then took them off again. Winter really sucks for this, as you can't wear loose sandals.
Your almost done! Hang in there!

My ankle and my legs up to my knee did that when I was pregnant with Anna... it was like that for the last 2 months(at least). At least it was in the spring though so I "got away with" ONE pair of sandals that actually fit!! But if I took them off I couldn't put ANYTHING back on:(

And I understand the "walking on water" feeling... the Drs said to cut my sodium intake (which I never really eat high sodium foods) and put my feet up above my head when I rested throughout the day.... LOL!! Nothing worked....hope you ind something to releive you some:)

And we're all praying for Andrea and her little man:)

Sending prayers for Drea. I hope they can get her contractions under control!

Oh, the cankles. I did not like the cankles. I would get swollen on one side more than the other if the baby was sitting in a strange position. I ended up stealing a pair of my hubby's flipflops to wear when I absolutely needed to go out. I can't imagine doing that in the winter though! I hope the last six weeks go by quickly for you!

my feet swelled up SO bad AFTER Tristan was born! It was awful - I had to wear these sandals I randomly had that were at least 2 sizes too big. Good thing he was a July baby, right?

I'll be praying for your friend. I can't imagine how scary this must be for her. I'm also praying for your last few weeks - love you!
