Never Again

Yesterday we spent most of our day in Winnipeg with Bria. It's been a year since her last post-op appointment, and it was time for a check-up on her kidneys. For those that don't know, Bria was born with duplex kidneys, meaning she had an extra piece on her kidneys. After suffering through a nasty infection, her specialist decided that surgery was the best option. She went through major surgery at the age of 15 months. You can read about that experience here and here and here.

Anyway, Bria did so so well! She lay very still for the ultrasound, and then was super excited to see her Doctor afterward. The other day she told me that she loved the doctor that fixed her tummy :) What a sweetheart! Anyway, the verdict was that everything looks great, and we don't have to see the specialist anymore! Unless, of course, she were to have trouble with infection again. I'm so excited! It's a phase of life that I'm ready to leave behind.
