Today we will celebrate

We celebrated with the Friesen family on her birthday, a week ago, but tonight we are finally going to celebrate Emery's 2nd birthday at home! Life seems to get so busy with "stuff" that we haven't had a chance to celebrate yet.

Emery.  She has been a bundle of determination since birth!  Strong and steady.  She was crawling at 6 months, and sitting at 8 months.  No, I didn't mix those up!  She rarely sits still.

Most recent things about Emery:

She loves to run around and "dance" with Bria.
She is finally eating more variety of foods, though she still isn't a fan of vegetables.
She prefers to have me feed her, instead of holding the fork/spoon on her own.
She calls herself a baby, but prefers to be treated like a big girl, go figure!

She has always been very good at saying her "r".  So works like water and color end with "rrrrrrr".
She likes to dress and undress herself, though she does have trouble with her shirts.
She loves to play with socks!  She will put on three pairs of socks at once sometimes.
Her vocabulary is expanding daily.  She has a lot of words already.

Just over a week ago I took Emery for her two year check up at the Doctor's office.  Not surprisingly, she is at the 97th percentile for height!  At two years of age, she is 36 1/2 inches tall, and 31 pounds.  Her height curve hasn't evened out yet, she's still going higher....   YIKES!  I'm going to be one of those moms handing over wads of cash for clothing from the Tall Girl store.  Better start saving :)

Emery is such a fun little girl.  We are truly blessed to have her in our family.
